Photographer Policies

  
Thank you for your interest in capturing memories through photography at our farm!  We enjoy having amateur photographers practice taking candid photos during their visit to our farm!  If your photography skills exceed the amateur level, please observe our farm's professional photography guidelines to accommodate professional photography sessions.  Please note, we are a farm first and need to respect the crops and farm experience for all our visitors.  No pets are permitted anywhere on the farm; only ADA certified service animals are allowed. 
 
Friends and Family Cell Phone Camera Photos:
Friends and family are considered non-paid photographers, either monetarily or by in-kind trade.  We welcome our guests to capture candid, non-professional photos during their visit to our farm!  Feel free to use your personal cell phone camera for great candid photo opportunities at our farm.
 
Please note:
  • Required admissions (orchard, festival and/or corn maze) must be purchased for each person and farm entrance hand stamps must be worn at all times.
  • Everyone must stay in the areas of the farm that are open to the general public.
  • Do not disturb crops, vegetation, flowers, displays, etc. during your visit.
  • Props of any kind are not allowed onto the property, including tripods.
 
Professional Photographers:
Professional photographers are welcome to use Afton Apple as a setting for any portrait/commercial photography, even if the photographer is not compensated, financially or otherwise.  After paying required general admissions (orchard, festival and/or corn maze admissions), the sitting fee is $75 per photographer, per family, per hour and must be paid prior to the start of the session.  The sitting fee is per photographer - if there are 2 photographers taking photos, a second session must be purchased. 
 
Please note:
  • Sessions are limited to the areas where the general public has access, with no props allowed, (including but not limited to stepstools, ladders, lighting, blankets, reflectors, etc.) and only during business hours.
  • Professional photography must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance.
  • The photographer must submit a list of clients attending the farm prior to the photo session.
  • Photographers will receive a wristband after finalizing payments to wear during their visit.
  • Required admissions (orchard, festival and/or corn maze) must be purchased for each person and farm entrance hand stamps must be worn at all times.
  • Please be respectful of other guests around you when taking pictures.  No areas may be closed or blocked off from other customers during a photoshoot during regular business hours.
  • All photos must be family friendly.
  • The use of drones is strictly prohibited.
  • Any published photos (blogs, social media, etc.) must credit the photograph location for mutual benefit.  If publishing photos on social media, we ask that you tag Afton Apple in your post.
  • Afton Apple assumes no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to any equipment or belongings.
  • Afton Apple staff are not responsible for directing clients to the photoshoot location.  Please make meeting arrangements ahead of time.
  • Afton Apple reserves the right to halt any photography session deemed disruptive or inappropriate in any way.
