Drive out to Afton Apple Orchard for a pleasant, interesting, and healthful way for you and your family to enjoy a day in the country. We have 190+ beautiful acres producing delicious Minnesota grown strawberries, raspberries, pumpkins and thirteen different varieties of apples that can be picked by our customers at the peak of perfection.

Apple picking usually starts early August. Due to hail damage this year we are not able to pick apples from our trees. But several Minnesota orchards have agreed to help us out so we will have your favorite apple varieties available in our store. Don't miss our apple festival October 2nd & 3rd and 9th & 10th, 2010! We are open 7 days a week from 10am to 6pm. There is a moderate admission charge of $3.00 for ages 5 and up and $2.00 for ages 4 and under.
This year our raspberries are running a little late. We expect to start picking about Labor Day weekend. Usually later in the week is better for picking because of the heavy picking on weekends. Always call for picking conditions before coming to pick berries.
We have made connections with some of the best Michigan fruit growers and we are pleased to offer you some of the finest peaches, blueberries, sweet dark cherries, rainier cherries and tart cherries.
Pumpkin picking season starts the last weekend in September and goes through October. We have mini-pumpkins, pie pumpkins, small jack-o-lanterns, medium pumpkins and very large pumpkins. We also have gourds, several varieties of squash and ornamental decorating corn - small and large.
Hayrides into the orchard for picking (or just for fun!) start Labor Day weekend, including Labor Day. They run on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 6pm and Monday-Friday from 3pm to 6pm. We are still open for picking during the weekdays. The weekdays are a little quieter for picking. Please call for information or directions - or check out our directions page!
Our HUGE 15 acre corn maze will be opening on Saturday, September 18, 2010. There are over 5 miles of twists and turns to boggle both the extra sharp and the directionally challenged minds! Strawberry season starts approximately the second week in June to approximately mid-July. We will be open 7 days a week from 7am to 7 pm, weather permitting. Always call for an update on picking conditions or any changes in hours before coming to pick berries.
We have frozen apple pies (unbaked) made from Minnesota-grown apples, homemade jams, sugar-free jams, fresh honey, sweet maple syrup and a variety of creamy fruit butters for sale! For your convenience, we now accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
We have a very large, unique playground, straw mountain and new this year will be 'retread hill ' which should be ready by Labor Day weekend for your children to enjoy. Your children would love to join the friendly critters in our petting farm - which is expanding all the time! Be sure to take a ride on our "Moo Moo Choo Choo" train on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 4pm. The ride is $2 per person.
If you are planning a wedding or special occasion get-together, we have a beautiful rental building available for you. Our rental hall will hold up to 300 people inside or many more guests outside.
