Apple Sauce
- Ingredients
- 6-8 peeled apples, cut in chunks
- 1/2 cup water, apple cider or juice
- 1/4 cup sugar or less, to taste
Directions
Put ingredients in saucepan on stove (or put in microwaveable container, covered). Cook until apples are soft, about 20 minutes on stove.
For sauce with a spicy flavor, add cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves or allspice to taste, and cook 2 minutes longer.
For sauce with a pink color and a cinnamon flavor, add a few red hot cinnamon candies.
